Which classroom game should I use?
Choose a game that matches your learning goal, available lesson time, and student needs. Most activities work on a classroom screen and do not need student accounts. The grade filters above are suggestions, not a substitute for checking question difficulty.
Start with a quick practice game
Try the Quick Math Challenge for arithmetic, Sight Word Flashcards for early reading, or the Virtual Dice Roller for number talks.
Check understanding as a class
Use the Review Board Game to reveal questions and award team points, or the Quiz Generator for multiple-choice review. Give students time to explain answers.
Make a take-home or station activity
Create a custom Word Search or Bingo Card based on lesson vocabulary. Review the printed result before sharing it with students.
Tips for using games in elementary classrooms
Set one learning objective before you open a game. Model the activity for the class, keep rounds short, and finish with one question that checks what students learned. Pair games with direct instruction, reading, and discussion rather than relying on speed or scores alone.
For student privacy, use numbers or generic team labels in tools projected onto a shared screen. Let students respond aloud, by pointing, or through a classmate when a fast button press is not accessible. Browse our free tools for teachers and K–5 classroom game kits for more structured activities.
