Classroom Games respects copyright and aims to publish original educational content and properly used third-party material. If you believe content on ClassroomGames.org infringes copyright, you may send a notice to contact@classroomgames.org.
Scope of this copyright policy
This page provides a contact method for claims about content hosted or published on ClassroomGames.org. We review specific reports and may remove, correct, or restrict access to content while assessing a dispute. It also explains information we need to understand the claim.
The term DMCA refers to the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act. A website policy labeled DMCA does not itself establish that the operator qualifies for the law’s safe-harbor protections. This site is not claiming that a statutory DMCA agent has been registered by publishing this page.
What to include in a copyright notice
- A clear description of the original copyrighted work that you own or are authorized to represent.
- The exact URL of the material on ClassroomGames.org that you believe infringes your rights, plus enough detail to locate it.
- Your name, organization if relevant, email address, and a reliable way to contact you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the identified use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury where a formal DMCA notice requires it, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature, if you are submitting a formal copyright notification.
Where to send a notice
Send the notice to contact@classroomgames.org with the subject line “Copyright concern: ClassroomGames.org”. Include only information needed to explain ownership, the work, and the specific URLs.
We do not publish complainants’ private contact details as a normal part of our website. We may need to preserve a record of the complaint, ask clarifying questions, or share necessary information as required for a lawful process.
How we assess reports
We review whether the reported content appears on the specified URL, what work is claimed, and whether there is a plausible permission, license, quotation, educational exception, or other lawful basis for the use. We may temporarily restrict access while seeking clarification.
Not every use of third-party material is automatically infringing. Fair use, fair dealing, permission, and statutory exceptions depend on the facts and jurisdiction. Our response to a notice does not determine the ultimate legal rights of either party.
Responses and disputed removals
If material is removed and the uploader or relevant owner believes the removal was a mistake, they may write to contact@classroomgames.org explaining the affected URL, their rights, and why the use is authorized. We may review additional evidence and, where appropriate, restore or replace the material.
Formal DMCA counter-notification procedures have specific legal requirements and potential consequences. A person considering a formal counter-notice should consult the applicable law or qualified counsel instead of relying on this summary alone.
Repeat infringement and misuse
We do not offer public user-generated content uploads through the existing classroom games. If the website later allows accounts or submissions, policies for recurring violations and user notices may need to be expanded accordingly.
Knowingly false copyright accusations can create legal consequences. Please investigate the material and provide specific, accurate information rather than sending broad complaints about unrelated URLs.
DMCA designated-agent requirements
Under U.S. law, a service provider seeking certain Section 512 safe-harbor protections must satisfy requirements that can include registering a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and publishing the agent’s prescribed contact details. A general contact email alone may not meet those conditions.
For official requirements, see the U.S. Copyright Office Section 512 resources. Classroom Games does not represent that an agent designation has been made unless a separate, verified designation is published.
Questions and other reports
For non-copyright factual errors, broken links, or accessibility issues, see the Corrections Policy, Accessibility Statement, and Contact page. Those procedures help route ordinary content concerns without treating them as legal copyright notices.
This policy may change if the website adds user uploads, an official designated agent, new licensing arrangements, or other publishing features.
