Welcome to About Us at Classroom Games.
What is Classroom Games?
Classroom Games is an independent educational website at ClassroomGames.org. It offers free browser-based classroom games and teacher tools designed to make small daily activities easier to run. The focus is on practical participation, skill practice, and clear instructions rather than long setup processes.
Teachers, teaching assistants, tutors, parents, and learners can explore activities without creating student accounts. Our current collection includes math challenges, word games, classroom management helpers, quiz tools, and activities that work well on shared classroom screens. Visit the Games directory to find a tool by topic.
Who this site is for
The main audience is educators who want a quick activity for a lesson starter, review, break, or group task. Some games are appropriate for early elementary students, while others can be adapted for older learners. Age suitability depends on the vocabulary, instructions, and classroom context.
A teacher should always decide whether an activity meets a group’s learning goals, physical abilities, and school rules. Our website supplies the tools; teachers supply professional judgment, supervision, and accommodations.
What you can do here
- Use the Random Name Picker to rotate participation without repeating names during a round.
- Use the Quick Math Challenge, Math Memory Match, or Dice Roller for numerical practice.
- Create classroom reviews with the Quiz Generator, Bingo Generator, or Word Scramble.
- Manage class activities with a Countdown Timer, Team Scoreboard, or Team Generator.
- Read activity suggestions in Teacher Resources and further guidance in our Blog section.
How we develop and review our activities
Our goal is to design tools that are simple to understand, responsive across common screen sizes, and usable without unnecessary student sign-ups. For each activity, we aim to check the rules, directions, expected outcomes, mobile layout, and relevant accessibility considerations. Testing coverage and compatibility can vary, and we welcome reports of problems.
Educational information may require different methods for different grade levels. We try to distinguish examples from formal curriculum standards, avoid invented claims, and review factual issues when they are brought to our attention. Our Editorial Policy explains our publication standards, while the Fact-Checking Policy describes how we assess information.
Our approach to privacy and accessibility
We aim to limit the information needed to play. Many of our current games operate with JavaScript inside the browser and do not provide student registration or student profiles. Website requests may still generate technical server logs, and optional services can have separate data practices. Please read the Privacy Policy and Children’s Privacy for the important details.
We also aim to make instructions understandable and controls practical with keyboards and touchscreens, but we cannot guarantee that every browser or assistive technology has identical behavior. See our Accessibility Statement for ways to report a barrier.
Independent resource and contact
Classroom Games is an independent publisher, not an official school, school district, testing agency, or curriculum accreditation body. The presence of a game does not mean an education authority has endorsed it. Any future sponsorship, promotion, or paid relationship should be clearly distinguished from editorial material.
